If you have ever see David Browning act you will understand what an entertaining book this was to read. This book is basically the life story of David Browning and especially his life as “The Mayberry Deputy.” I would never have guessed that he makes his living playing Barney Fife. Not that he is not excellent at his job, but that someone can have so much fun in their job! You can google David Browning and watch many of his acts, interviews, and life as Barney. The book also has many pictures of David with friends and family. Pictures include several real life actors he has worked with through the years. He was the opening act for Don Knotts for many years. David also appeared in many commercials. And of course you can always find him at Mayberry Days in Mount Airy, NC. This book tells how David got involved in his many adventures. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
